Why do you ask this question? You've posted at least twice with links to external sites related to service providers. I allowed them since I thought perhaps you were legitimately wanting to provide useful information. But, for you to post a question related to service providers makes me question the others.

Why do you ask?

In any case, Packetizer used to maintain a list of service providers, but we finally moved it off-site. We plan to bring that content back in 2012, though, along with a number of other site changes over the year. Here is the page where we keep links to sites that list service providers:
Oddly, I was looking through the some of the Radvision products (amongst others) last night.

The statistical feedback from the hardware endpoints we use (mainly Polycom and Tandberg) are simply not sufficient for pinpointing issues - they simply tell us that invariably packets have been lost. The same goes for the statistical feedback we have access to from the third party MCU we use. Whilst the endpoints and gatekeepers/boarder controls are within out control, and we should be able to gain access to the local network segments these reside on (even though the local networks themselves are not our directly), the MCUs we utilise are owned by a third party, and the intermediate networks are not within our control at all (yet is probably the most likely cause of issues we encounter)

Whilst we can capture packet traces at the endpoints either by tapping in to the stream or simply running a software endpoint and a traffic analyser (such as wireshark), these don't really tell us what has happened at each point across the unmanaged network. One of the most useful tools we have used is a fairly rudimentary tool that effectively plots the time delays from trace-route/ping requests.

Any further documentation you can point us to would be useful.
tsahilRe: Testing SIP/H.323 connection over unmanged networkshttps://forums.packetizer.com/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=49&p=101#p1012010-10-11T18:36:18Z2010-10-11T18:36:18Z
Hi,

There are techniques to handle that.
You might want our own VQ SDK/Monitor solutions: <s></s>http://www.radvision.com/Products/Developer/Video-Quality/
They are geared towards analyzing real-time video and determining the quality of it.

There are also a few posts and webinars I can direct you to on this subject.

What are the possibilities for testing and analysing potential issues over unmanaged networks? I.e. SIP or H.323 call made over the internet where transient condition may mean that calls are subject to several packet loss yet these loses cannot be attributed to either ends local network?

I fear that not much information may be gleaned but if certain statistic could be produced to potentially show congestion between given hops, then this would be highly useful in attempting to get the problems resolved with the network providers.

Not sure if a simulators would be useful in such a situation?

Cheers
paulejRe: Need a simulator...https://forums.packetizer.com/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=14&p=26#p262009-08-26T14:40:18Z2009-08-26T14:40:18Z
Pradeep,
As people point them out to us, we've been listing such tools here:
http://www.packetizer.com/ipmc/diagnostics/testtools/

If there are others that we should have on the list, we would be happy to add them.

I want to generate load of sip registration/calls either through using any free/open source tool. Otherwise is there any open source client/apis through which we can develop the same.

Thanks,
