Rethish, There's the Facility message of Q.931, but that one isn't going to accomplish your whole scenario and isn't that widely used either. It is even dangerous to use as there are endpoints out there who will crash if you send them such a Facility message. Other than that and H.450.2, the only so...

peyus, H.323 works in a way that it knows at each time to "fall back" to the previous method. This means that an endpoint that dials out using fast start is going to notice in the reply that he will receive from the remote endpoint that it doesn't support fast start and both will simply end up using...
