Re: Next release
The source is only maintained here on aescrypt.com. We don't have a definitive plan for a next release, but it will happen whenever somebody decides to take up the list and go work on it

Re: help with SIP compatability
Hello, I am working for a telephone reseller (ESI) and I have a client that needs a specific 'secure' IP phone (TEO) and I want to make sure our comm server will talk to the phone via SIP/VoIP. I'm not sure what TEO is. A brand? Is only one codec (G.711) needed, or do all need to match up between p...

Re: Using H.323 over the Internet to computers on LANs
There is a freely available public Gatekeeper running at h323.net. If you use the Spranto client (or other clients that support H.460.23 and H.460.24 extensions to H.323 for NAT/FW traversal), you can connect to h323.net to communicate with others connected to the H.323 Global Network.

Re: Windows & Mac encryption
That's definitely possible. The Mac software and Windows software share the same file format. The tools have a different user interface, but the underlying file format is exactly the same. This is also true for the Linux and Java code. It should be possible to encrypt on any platform and decrypt on ...

Re: Error: Input file is too short.
AES Crypt does not require input or output files to have a given name. You are free to name them whatever you want. Just to have a default, we used .aes as the extension for encrypted files. We could place files in a temporary directory, but what would be the advantage? And what do we do if we encou...

Re: SIP is not an emerging protocol
Now, the SIP trunking is the most emerging Technology, and it is used in business as well. Thanks Nobody disputes its use, but SIP is not "emerging". Neither is SIP trunking. More and more businesses might be adopting it, but that does not make it emerging. SIP has been around for 15 year...

Re: Error: Input file is too short.
If the error message says that the input file is too short, then it means that the file is too short to be a valid AES Crypt file. Other file checks cannot be performed due to the short length of the file. The reason you are getting this error is that you are specifying the input and output file to ...
