Using H.323 over the Internet to computers on LANs

Hello
I am trying to make H.323 connections between softphones or an MCU on computers that are behind routers on home LANs. I cannot work out how to make an H.232 call to a computer on a remote LAN through NAT. It seems that I need the use of a gatekeeper with its own Internet IP address but, unlike with SIP, there do not seem to be any free, public gatekeepers available. Or are there, and if so where are they? Otherwise, how can I set up these calls?
