Trusted Platform Module

Since the password, I assume, embedded within the encrypted file, is a TPM is really of any use?
I have been using AES Crypt for a while, on a Windows 10, then buying a TPM for a Motherboard and wondering if it is really any use?
My apologies if this is a silly question.

The password is not embedded in the encrypted file. It must be supplied in order to decrypt the file. Entering the wrong password means decryption fails, producing a bunch of random junk that's detected by the SHA-256 hash function.

TPM doesn't come into play at all.
