Hello!
Can I ask is the AES Crypt hardware accelerated?
And why Windows version does not have key files functionality? It would be really nice!

There is no hardware acceleration.

Key file support will eventually be available in the command-line version, but no plans for the GUI version. The reason is that it just makes the GUI harder to use. I want to keep that trivial.

Thank you for the answer.I don't know exactly if it's hard to do a button right in the dialog window where we type a password. So we can choose what to use: a password or a keyfile. I think it would not be very complicate.
But I still think you know better. And thank you for this nice software.

Yeah, it's doable, but more confusing to people who aren't so skilled at using computers. And, importantly, the key files are nothing but passwords in a file. They can be opened with notepad, copied, and pasted.

I would like key file support for command-line use, but want to keep the GUI really, really easy to use. I think that has been the key to the software's success.
