hi,
I tried downloading the Mac GUI X86 version. I'm running the latest version of the MacOSX Mavericks. It is installed and when I go to click on the icon to open the program, nothing happens. It kind of pretends likes it's opening but then it closes quickly. Any help appreciated.

Have a look at the user guide on the AES Crypt site. The AES Crypt lock icon is supposed to be placed on the dock. Then you drag files you want to encrypt our decrypt onto the lock icon.
