Are the files available for download? Every link I try states the file is not available.

Yeah, it is working fine for me. Are you using Windows XP with Internet Explorer? You'll get errors with that, though Firefox and Chrome will work. Windows Vista or newer will also work. The issue has to do with the way the digital certificate is served and XP does not support newer TLS encryption logic.

If you are using a different O/S, then perhaps there is another problem, but I've accessed this from multiple computers and networks without any problems.

Since a number of folks have trouble with the certificate we are are using, I have made the default download link download over normal HTTP. That was how it was for a long time and hopefully that will prevent any issues. However, the https links should still work if your operating system supports the newer TLS features our server uses.

Try refreshing the aescrypt.com main page and see if you can download over a non-secure connection.

I'm trying to download from Firefox and receive the following for each download option.
I haven't been able to get in touch with anyone through the number provided - any ideas?

Download Error

We maintain a mapping of IP addresses of countries to prevent downloading (for what good that will do) from countries that the US government classifies as ones to which we are not supposed to export this software to.

Even the Dept. of Commerce (who oversees export of strong encryption) knows this is a futile exercise, but we do what we can. Anyway, the database does get stale and needs to be updated periodically. If anyone sees this error, just let us know and we'll update the database. If that does not work, we can manually exempt an address.
